Arlington Heights to Host Compost Giveaway and Bin Pick-Up Event April 12

The Village of Arlington Heights is hosting a compost giveaway and bin pick-up event on Saturday, April 12th, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Public Works facility, located at 222 N. Ridge Ave.

Compost Giveaway: Residents are encouraged to bring their own buckets, with 5-gallon containers recommended, to collect free compost available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Compost Bin Pick-Up: Individuals who have pre-purchased compost bins can collect them during this event. Those interested in purchasing a bin must pre-order by calling 847-368-5500, as quantities are limited.

This initiative underscores Arlington Heights’ commitment to sustainability and provides residents with resources to support environmentally friendly practices.
