Search Underway for Missing Arlington Heights Teen Last Seen Monday

Luz "Lulu" Esperanza Martinez Rodriguez, 15, is described as being about 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 138 pounds, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, the teen, identified as Luz “Lulu” Esperanza Martinez Rodriguez, left her home on the 4100 block of Jennifer Lane around 6:40 a.m. on April 28. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Luz is described as approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 138 pounds, with brown eyes and brown-red hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans, white sneakers, and carrying a pink backpack.

She has distinguishing tattoos: a heart on the back of her left hand and the words “Familia Martinez Rodriguez” on her left forearm.

Investigators have not released information suggesting foul play, but concerns are mounting as the disappearance enters its third day. Local police, in coordination with sheriff’s detectives, are canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage.
