Arlington Heights, IL - AHTownSquare.com first launched over a year ago, bringing community-focused news and information to Arlington Heights and the surrounding areas. However, after being live for only a few months, the site underwent a period of transformation. During this time, the domain name expired, creating uncertainty about its future.
Fortunately, Northwest Central Pulse LLC was able to reclaim AHTownSquare.com before anyone else picked it up. Now, the platform is being relaunched with a renewed vision as a New Media organization dedicated to delivering timely, reliable news coverage for Arlington Heights and its neighboring communities.
AHTownSquare.com is continuously working each day to improve and provide coverage that is both relevant and useful to the community. Several exciting ideas are being explored, including the creation of an app that will offer push notifications, ensuring that readers never miss out when new articles are published. Additionally, the app will feature the ability for users to submit news tips and reports directly, helping to make community-driven news more accessible and engaging.
As part of its broader efforts, Northwest Central Pulse LLC previously developed a WordPress plugin called AnonFOIA, designed to protect user privacy by shielding IP addresses, email, location, and system data. The plugin was built to enhance anonymity for those submitting information online. Since then, AnonFOIA has been sold, and the funds from its sale are being used to further AHTownSquare.com’s mission of expanding local news coverage and community engagement.
Rather than trying to replace traditional news media, AHTownSquare.com seeks to be an additional source of information—one that gives the community more opportunities to engage with and contribute to local news. By embracing new ideas and technology, we aim to provide a fresh, interactive approach to keeping residents informed. Stay tuned for what’s ahead!
