Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 will sell the remaining $15 million in bonds from the $75 million authorized by voters in a 2022 referendum. The February 5 bond sale aims to recover costs from its Build 25 program and prepare for future construction projects in 2025 and 2026.

This bond sale will not increase property taxes, as the district will continue the higher tax bill from the 2022 referendum, which raised $60 million. Homeowners will pay an additional $235 annually on a $400,000 home.

The district has already spent the first $60 million, covering costs for new kindergarten classrooms and other upgrades. It plans $3.5 million in infrastructure improvements this summer, including lighting and ceiling replacements at Thomas Middle School and new windows at Miner School. Further projects are planned for 2026.

After the February 5 sale, the district will receive the $15 million in proceeds by March 5.
