Arlington Heights Memorial Library Hosts Second Annual Community Mental Health Fair

Arlington Heights, IL – April 18, 2025 — In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Arlington Heights Memorial Library is set to host its second annual “Thrive Together: Community Mental Health Fair” on Sunday, May 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the library’s Full Hendrickson Room.

This free event connects attendees with local organizations and advocates offering mental health services and support. Visitors will have the chance to explore resources, speak with professionals, and attend a community panel discussion moderated by Darren Brown, Social Services Coordinator for the Village of Arlington Heights.

The fair is presented in partnership with State Representatives Mary Beth Canty and Nicolle Grasse, Cook County Commissioners Scott Britton and Maggie Trevor, the Kenneth Young Center, OMNI, and the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, showcasing a strong, united front for mental wellness in the community.

Understanding your mental health can lead to better stress management, healthier relationships, and an improved overall quality of life. Events like this one are designed to reduce stigma, promote open dialogue, and empower individuals with knowledge and support.
