Originally from St. Louis, the candidate spent time in the Colorado Rockies, where he worked as a professional ski patroller and volunteer firefighter/EMT. These experiences sparked his passion for emergency care and community service. He later earned a BS in engineering from the University of Colorado and went on to work in the research and development of medical equipment. After completing an MBA and MS in marketing, he continued his career in medical technology, eventually relocating to Illinois with his wife, Janice, and settling in Arlington Heights due to its walkability, schools, and quality of life.

Since 2018, he has worked at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, focusing on expanding access to digital health programs and advising large employers. Beyond his professional work, he has been an active volunteer, teaching job search courses, mentoring health tech startups, and serving in leadership roles within the American Marketing Association.

His campaign platform centers on three key areas. First, he emphasizes the importance of safe infrastructure, particularly addressing the state-mandated replacement of lead service lines. While he acknowledges recent efforts to reduce homeowner costs, he believes further funding alternatives should be explored to alleviate financial burdens on residents. Second, he advocates for strong support of local businesses, promoting initiatives like “Always Buy Arlington” to encourage residents to spend within the community, boosting local jobs and tax revenue. Finally, he addresses the development of the Arlington Park property, stressing the need for a detailed plan that benefits the village without imposing undue costs on residents or competing with existing businesses.

Despite an attempt to contact all candidates with a set of questions, no response has been received from this candidate at the time of publication. His campaign website remains the primary source of information about his priorities and vision for Arlington Heights.
