Nine families have initiated legal action against Arlington Heights School District 25, alleging that a school nurse administered incorrect medications to students and that district officials failed to address the issue adequately. The lawsuits claim that the nurse’s actions led to adverse health effects for the children involved. The district has not publicly responded to these allegations. The legal proceedings are ongoing, and further developments are expected as the cases progress.

Former Westgate Elementary nurse Tory Eitz has been criminally charged in connection with the alleged medication errors. According to a report from WGN, Eitz faces 13 felony counts, including official misconduct, endangering the life or health of a child, and forgery. Authorities allege she substituted prescription medications with over-the-counter drugs and, in one case, administered a substance that led a student to test positive for fentanyl. Her next court date is scheduled for May 5. District 25 has since implemented new safety protocols for medication handling.
