Harper College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program seeks volunteers for free ultrasound scans to help students gain hands-on experience. Available exams include echocardiograms (18+ years) and obstetric ultrasounds (18+ weeks pregnant, in good health, no complications). OB scans may include 2D/3D images, provided via flash drive.
Appointments are limited and begin mid-February: echocardiograms on Wednesdays/Thursdays (4-8 p.m.), and OB ultrasounds on Thursdays (4-7 p.m.) or Saturdays (10 a.m.-1 p.m.). Scans last about an hour, are non-diagnostic, and performed by students under professional supervision. No medical report is provided, but follow-up with a physician may be recommended.
