By taking this oath, I commit to fulfilling my responsibilities faithfully and impartially, to the best of my abilities, without bias or prejudice. I aim to promote trust and integrity within our community’s law enforcement agencies.
I vow to:
1. Uphold Fairness: I will ensure fair and thorough civilian oversight in all cases.
2. Seek the Truth: I will rely on evidence, facts, and testimony to seek the truth and hold accountable those involved in misconduct.
3. Protect Civil Rights: I will advocate for all individuals’ civil rights and liberties regardless of their demographics.
4. Promote Accountability: I will advocate for transparency and accountability within government agencies, ensuring that improper actions are addressed, and responsible parties are held accountable.
5. Listen to the Community: I will engage with our community to understand concerns and perspectives and bridge the gap between government agencies and citizens.
6. Maintain Confidentiality: I will maintain confidentiality to protect the privacy of all parties.
